Participants of our Water Reuse and Community Abundance Tour were inspired by beautiful and functional low-water use landscapes that included rainwater harvesting and laundry-to-landscape greywater systems.

Hello Daily Actor,

As the rain pours down around us, it’s easy to forget that the days are getting longer once again. Now is the time to tend to our gardens, outside of ourselves and within. Just as we pull weeds and prune back branches to make space for new growth, we can prune away distractions to grow more of what nurtures our passions and makes us feel connected to a greater purpose.

“Living our potential isn’t much about us. It’s finding how we fit, to serve the larger whole.” - Trathen Heckman, Ripples Journal 2010

At Daily Acts, we believe that being in community helps us see and feel the power for good that our collective daily actions can have. This month, we are excited to invite you to join us in giving our love and appreciation to Fire Station #2 and the Cavanagh Center, where we will be revitalizing the landscapes for pollinators and people alike. Let’s be like the rain, and pour our love into these community spaces!

It’s critical that we do what we can now to tend to our gardens, so come Spring and Summer, we and the plants may flourish alongside one another in the sunshine. Remember,

"You can not do all the good that the world needs, but the world needs all the good that you can do." - Shelbi Orme

Rain or shine, we hope to see you soon!

With gratitude,
Drea Casali
Communications Coordinator

In November of 2023, Daily Acts completed our first public installation through our Land Resilience Partnership program at McKinley School in Petaluma. Over two workdays, volunteers sheet mulched and planted pollinator habitat.

Rain tanks were installed in partnership with Sonoma RCD allowing the school to capture 8,000 gallons of water annually with rain tanks and a rain garden. Additionally, 25 shade trees were planted in partnership with ReLeaf Petaluma and Rebuilding Together. This is the power of community partnership!

For our next round of residential installations, Daily Acts is seeking Petaluma residents interested in having a Laundry-to-Landscape Greywater System installed at their home. If this could be you, take five minutes to learn more & apply, or share with your Petaluma friends and family!
