Since we launched the Land Resilience Partnership (LRP) last fall, our Programs Team have been busy bees installing beautiful water-wise landscape projects at 29 schools, parks and residences! 🐝

Check out a few of our most recent garden transformations below, and in case you missed it - make sure to check out our Fall Newsletter to learn more about the many beneficial impacts these projects have on our community.

Martin Farm HOA: 2,700 sq ft of lawn was transformed into a water-wise garden, complete with a raingarden and 239 native and water-wise plants, saving 88,530 gallons of water per year! Watch this beautiful garden grow as you drive down East Washington in Petaluma, just off the freeway towards downtown.

Residential Landscape Transformation: The recipients of this transformation were inspired by the three other projects we've installed in this neighborhood. Now that's a ripple! This 1,200 sq ft lawn was converted to a rain garden and includes 114 native and water-wise plants, saving 32,530 gallons of water per year!

2024 flew by! We can't wait to share the impact that your participation has had on our work. In the meantime, we hope you'll join us for one of our last events of the year:

VOLUNTEER: La Tercera Park Community Planting Day
Saturday, December 7th • 10:00 am - 3:00 pm • In-person, Petaluma

Calling all volunteers - we need all hands on deck to help get 1,000 plants in the ground for our last big garden installation of the year! Your participation helps beautify our community, builds habitat and helps save precious water resources. Free food will be provided to all participants. See you there!

VOLUNTEER: Maintenance Day at the Cavanagh Center
Thursday, December 12th • 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm • In-person, Petaluma

The Cavanagh Center Food Forest is in need of sprucing up! We can use your help weeding the space to clear the swales for rain to pass through, spot mulching to keep weeds from growing during the wet months, and clearing pathways as needed. There is also a chance that there will be some fruits to harvest and enjoy!

Want to help spread Daily Acts' mission? Let us do the heavy lifting for you. Donate today, and our small but mighty staff will take it from there!
