CCNB Corpsmembers sheet mulching the landscape at La Tercera Elementary School in preparation for our next Climate Resilience Schools Program installation in the fall.

Hey there Daily Actor,

This month, Daily Acts is installing laundry-to-landscape greywater systems at thirteen Petaluma residences through our Land Resilience Partnership (LRP) Program. These installations are expected to divert more than 35,000 gallons of laundry water per year into landscapes, reducing irrigation demand!

We are excited to collaborate with other local organizations to make this large project possible in just two weeks. The Water Folk will be overseeing the installations, and Conservation Corps North Bay Corpsmembers will be completing the installations to learn about water conservation and gain job skills.

One site that will be receiving multiple greywater systems is Mustang Acres, a local nonprofit advancing equity and social justice for persons with disabilities through participation in agriculture. This installation will help them plant an orchard that will be irrigated by their laundry water, growing food without increased water consumption. 🌳💚

Ready to learn more about installing your own laundry-to-landscape greywater system? Here are 3 actions you can take today:

  1. Petaluma residents: sign up for the City’s Greywater Rebate or join the Land Resilience Partnership Program.
  2. Join our upcoming Laundry-to-Landscape Tour
  3. Watch our 3-part Greywater Webinar Series with co-founder of Greywater Action Laura Allen and the Sonoma Marin Water Saving Partnership: Let’s Talk Greywater, Designing L2L Systems, and Permitted Greywater Systems & Your Home

Stay tuned for an update when these greywater installations are complete. In the meantime, we hope to see you at one of our many upcoming events!

With gratitude,
