Volunteer Planting Day at Miwok Park
A program for all ages!
Get ready for an afternoon of green thumbs and good vibes at Miwok Park!
Picture this: a Friday afternoon filled with laughter, sunshine, and the satisfaction of giving back. But wait, there's more! We're fueling our volunteers with delicious burritos to keep those energy levels high as we dive into the dirt.
Together, we'll be planting nearly 1,000 plants that will transform Miwok Park into a haven of beauty and biodiversity. These aren't just any plants – they're superheroes in disguise. Not only will they provide shade and stunning scenery, but they'll also do wonders for our environment. We're talking carbon-sequestering, water-saving, pollinator-loving powerhouses!
And the best part? Your efforts will make a real impact. By swapping out thirsty lawns for climate-appropriate gardens, we'll save a whopping 200,000 gallons of water each year. That's something to celebrate!
In partnership with Rebuilding Petaluma, we'll also be giving away Mi Pueblo burritos to all volunteers who attend!
