Join Daily Acts and Aqus Café for:
Carbon Gardening Happy Hour:
Drought, Floods, and Working with Water
Come grab dinner or drinks and join us for a conversation about how water drives the carbon cycle, the shared causes of drought and flood, rainwater harvesting and more!
For this third event in our Carbon Gardening series, join Connor DeVane of Daily Acts and Spencer Sutton of Integrative Native Artisans for happy hour at Aqus! Arrive at 5:30 to grab dinner or drinks and settle in. At 6pm, Connor and Spencer will kick things off with a brief overview of the work they do, the relationship between the water cycle and climate change, and alternative water strategies like rainwater harvesting. We'll keep the program brief so that you can direct the discussion toward what you're interested in: graywater reuse, water-wise plant selection, curb cut rain gardens, and so on! You'll have plenty of opportunity to interact with our presenters and your fellow community members, so come with questions, stories, suggestions and a healthy dose of curiosity! Happy hour runs from 5-7pm; food and drink will be available for purchase until 7pm.
